After the great success of the Museo di Roma in Trastevere, the port of Reggio Calabria pictorial retrospective of the work of Lawrence Ferlinghetti and the extraordinary presence of the artist.

Will be presented to the press on Tuesday May 4, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Hall of chandeliers Palazzo San Giorgio retrospective "Lawrence Ferlinghetti: 60 years of painting." Established under the twinning agreement between the cultural city of Reggio Calabria and the City of Rome, the initiative relies on the Patronage of Americana, the Province of Rome and is organized by the Corsairs angles.
Poet, novelist, playwright, publisher, painter, a permanent member of the prestigious American Academy of Arts and Letters, appointed Commandeur de les Artes et des Lettres in December 2008 and recently awarded the honorary title of Commander of Merit of the Italian Republic (September 10, 2009 ) by the Consul General Fabrizio Marcelli, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, was an intellectual in the round, the highest expression of art and contemporary American literary landscape.
Most famous for his part, leading to movement of the Beat Generation which has always been the publisher of reference when in 1953 he founded City Lights Bookstore, Ferlinghetti is the author of one of the most read books of poetry in the world, A Coney Island Of The Mind, translated into twenty languages and with over one million copies sold.
